This week we have Whistler legend Julia Murray! Julia was born and raised right here in Whistler!

She is an Olympian, the ‘80/20 Plants’ program spokesperson + coach, and the vegan blogger, holistic nutritionist, and certified plant-based chef behind Hooked on Plants.

She’s named one of Canada’s top vegan athletes, and is certified as a Main Street Vegan lifestyle coach.

She’s also co-founder of medicinal mushroom company, Stay Wyld Organics and co-creator of the Whistler Vegan Fest!

Her no judgement attitude towards encouraging the world to eat more plants is an inspiration, along with her tireless support and promotion of any businesses offering vegan options! 1. Where’d you grow up and where do you live now?

WHISTLER

2. What is your definition of strength?

When you are authentically you, confident in that, and letting it shine…. Or going through tough times in life, then learning from it, and growing, instead of letting it take you down

3. What is something that’s important to you now that never used to be?

Easy breezy, boho wanna be

5. Favourite food to cook at home?

BBQ’d veggies to through in a pasta… OR Vegan Sushi Roll dinner parties

8. Tell us something people would find surprising about you:

I can touch my nose with my tongue, I had pet rats (Maggie + Mollie) when I was a kid, and I used to have a season’s pass to the trapeze

9. Favourite movie?

Dumb + Dumber… Or National Lampoons Family Vacation… Or Game Changers for all the inspiration it’s given to the world… Or Okja (SO SAD but so powerful)…or Alice in Wonderland… I’m not good with favourites

10. How do you want people to remember you?--

WOW… As someone who allowed each person to be who they are, and be comfortable with themselves in my presence. And, someone who inspired many to go vegan with a compassionate + non-judgemental approach… all to help lessen the demand of eating animals
