WOMAN WEDNESDAY With Rachelle From Earth and Elle

In today’s feature, we have the owner and founder of local eco brand @earthandelle_ Rachelle!

Rachelle founded her brand of locally sewn bras and undies from her tiny home in the rural PNW mountains, where this earth angel spends most of her time growing her business and growing her garden.

All of her products are made with hemp and organic cotton! So many people ask us about where to get sustainability made eco underwear from... @earthandelle_ is it!! Go and check out her page and get yourself some underwear that you can feel good in and feel good about! They are also launching both physical and digital gift cards on their site this week! Just in time for gift season!! 🌿🌎💚

Here’s our chat with her!

1. Where’d you grow up and where do you live now?

I grew up in the Okanagan in Kelowna, BC, and now live outside of Pemberton.

2. What is your definition of strength?

It means finding and using tools to help push through the hard stuff, but also knowing It’s ok to rest it out when things are too much. And knowing when to let it go n’ burn it!

3. What is something that’s important to you now that never used to be?

Routine

4. How would you describe your style?

Oh my, well, I can have 100 style moods in a week. But I hold back because I get annoyed when ppl are surprised about something they didn’t expect of me. I’m learning not to care though. I love good clothes, well designed and well made. Ethical with natural fabrics are top priority if I’m buying new. I like mixing new and vintage/second hand.

5. Favourite food to cook at home?

Garden veggies

6. What’re 3 books on your bookshelf?

The ones I cherish the most:

The Boreal Herbal by Beverly Gray

Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer

The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane by Lisa See

7. What’s something you want to accomplish in the next year?

Getting up at 7:00 everyday and loving it

8. Tell us something people would find surprising about you:

I can come across as a very serious person but I’m not, I swear! I can be shy and awkward and probably serious because I’m not into BS, but I definitely get freaking silly once the BS is cut.

9. Favourite movie?

I actually don’t know… But I do love Karate movie binges with the bf. Karate Kid and IP man are my favourites.
