WOMAN WEDNESDAY withGeorgia Hybner from Whistler Staging Co

This week our feature is this absolute go-getter, owner and founder of @whistlerstagingco Georgia Hybner

We first met Georgia when she moved her business into the space behind Velvet, and after getting to know her and reading about her story, I knew we had to feature her!

Georgia spent most of her career working In The technology industry, most recently working as the recruiting Lead for North America at Dell, where she was responsible for driving diversity recruiting practices, increasing opportunities for women in tech and leadership as well as veterans and minorities. As a side career, Georgia spent 12 years as a Ski Patroller at Thredbo, Australia and Heavenly, Lake Tahoe.

However, after surviving her life-changing illness she realized working endless hours in corporate life did not promote good health and made some long-overdue changes. She started volunteering at @whistlerwag , and decided to turn her past time passion into her career (side note: Georgia, amongst juggling her 2 huge careers and fighting a serious illness has also been buying and flipping houses since she was 24! Including 7 recent Whistler homes! ) 🤯 this woman is unbelievable! Anyway, after making some life changes, she became a Canadian certified staging professional, graduating with honours and then launched her own business @whistlerstagingco

When not staging Georgia is an avid skier, mountain biker, surfer, horse rider and world traveller.

Here’s our chat with her.

3. What is something that’s important to you now that never used to be?

That old saying “your body is a temple” rings more true to me today than it ever did.

Just over 3 years ago I was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer. After 3 surgeries and 18+ rounds of chemo, I have managed to stay relatively fit and active. I have not let it rule my life and set up my new business Whistler Staging Co to stay focused, positive and passionate.

10. How do you want people to remember you?

As a kind, strong and driven woman who never put morals aside for success.
